Configuring a 3Com Home Connect Wireless Gateway for LapLink - Search Again

 

SUMMARY

I have a 3COM Home Connect Wireless Gateway on my home computer. I want to make a connection over the Internet with LapLink. How can I do this?

 

SOLUTION

There are two possible solutions:

  • If you need to use LapLink only once, an easy and temporary solution is to move your DSL modem (or whatever device is providing Internet access) cable into one of the LAN ports on the 3Com Home Connect Wireless Gateway from the WAN port. The LAN ports are ports 1 through 3. This completely bypasses all firewall protection provided by the gateway.
