Error message: Unable to Load Device Driver: \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\TSISTRM.SYS after Installing LapLink - Search Again SUMMARY When I reboot my computer after installing LapLink, I receive the Windows error Unable to Load Device Driver: \SystemRoot\System32\Drivers\TSISTRM.SYS device driver could not be loaded. Error Status 0xc0000034. What can I do? CAUSE This error message appears when LapLink's remote control video, mouse, or keyboard filters conflicts with another driver already installed in your computer. These drivers may belong to another remote control or terminal emulation program, or your video display driver may be outdated. SOLUTION Note: If you have problems booting to the Windows desktop because of this error, see Technical Document 102 How do I Boot into Safe Mode? or Technical Document 294 How do I Boot into VGA Mode? for instructions.
There are two possible solutions for this problem.
To remove the conflict between the remote control drivers, follow these steps.
- Remove LapLink using Add/Remote Programs in the Windows Control Panel.
- Remove the other remote control or terminal emulation program using its Uninstall program.
- Reboot the computer.
- Reinstall LapLink from the CD-ROM or from your download file.
- Reboot the computer
Note: If your computer boots correctly after reinstalling LapLink, try re-installing the second program. Reboot the computer again. If the error returns, then you can install only one program at a time. Even if there is no error, there still may be limitations for using both programs on the same computer.
To check for an outdated or corrupted video driver, follow the steps in Technical Document 245 Changing Windows Video Settings If lowering the video settings seems to help this problem, we recommend that you update the video driver from the video card manufacturer’s web site.
