Error Message: 0x80040702 Failed to Load dll: llcintf.dll or LLtrack.dll is not found when Installing or Uninstalling PCsync - Search Again

 

SUMMARY

When I try to install or uninstall PCsync I receive the message Error number 0x80040702 failed to Load dll: llcintf.dll or LLtrack.dll is not found setup (or uninstall) will terminate. What can I do to correct this problem?

 

SOLUTION

This error occurs when PCsync's setup program did not terminate correctly, either installing or uninstalling. Please follow the steps below.

We recommend that you back up your registry before conducting the following steps. Please follow Technical Document 111: How to back up your registry.

  1. From the Windows Start menu, click Run.

  2. Type regedit and click OK

  3. Double-click HKey_Local_Machine

  4. Double-click Software

  5. Double-click Microsoft

  6. Double-click Windows

  7. Double-click Current Version

  8. Double-click Uninstall

  9. Click the folder {ED327CF1-61A5-11D4-8794-00105A17A56B}, and press the Delete key.

  10. Close the registry editor.

  11. Reboot your computer.


Now the system is ready to uninstall or reinstall PCsync.
