How do I find the IP Address on my computer?

 

SOLUTION

For computers running Windows NT or Windows 2000:

  1. From the Windows Start menu, click Run.

  2. In the Open box, type COMMAND.COM and press Enter.

  3. At the C:\> prompt, type IPCONFIG and press Enter .

  4. The IP information for all adapters will be displayed.


For computers running Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Millennium:
  1. From the Windows Start menu, click Run .

  2. In the Open box, type WINIPCFG and press Enter.

  3. The IP Configuration dialogue box will appear. If the network adapter that you use to connect to the Internet is not in the box, click the down arrow in order to select the network adapter. Then read the IP address.
