Installation of USB Network Cable Drivers Halts on Computer Name Field - Search Again

SUMMARY

I am trying to install the USB Network Cable. I am able to get to the Computer Name screen. When I type in the Computer Name, nothing happens and I can not finish the installation. What can I do to finish the installation?

CAUSE

Windows has a limitation for Computer and Workgroup names. Only alphabetical characters can be used.

SOLUTION

The maximum character length is 15 characters. Additionally, the LapLink driver is unable to recognize special characters such as an apostrophe as well as any spaces.

To resolve this issue retype the name with no spaces or extra characters.
