For computers running Windows 95/98/Millennium
- From the Windows Start menu point to Settings and click Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- Click the Device Manager tab.
- Click View Devices by Type.
- Double-click Network Adapters.
- Look for LapLink.com Serial Cable Network Adapter.
- If the Serial Cable Adapter does not appear, load the PCsync CD-ROM into your CD drive. Click Set Up cables from the Welcome screen. If prompted, uninstall the drivers and then click Set Up cables again to reinstall. Reboot the computer, and then repeat Steps 1 through six to check the results.

For computers running Windows 2000
