Moving Email Data to a New Computer with LapLink - Search Again SUMMARY I just purchased a new computer and need to move my email data, like my calendar, inbox and address book to my new computer. I have LapLink, too. Can I use LapLink to copy this data to the new computer? SOLUTION LapLink can copy or move any type of file, however, the email program may not recognize the new data you have copied correctly. Using the email program's Export/Import feature in combination with LapLink may allow you to transfer the data. For the purpose of this document, we will use Outlook as an example. See your email program's documentation for information about exporting and importing.

- From the File menu, click Import and Export.

- Click Include subdirectories if necessary.
- Click Filter if you want to export data that meets certain requirements.
