How to Copy AutoCad Files using LapLink - Search Again

SUMMARY

I would like to use LapLink to copy my AutoCad files but not all of my changes get copied. How can I do this?

CAUSE

AutoCad stores incremental changes in a temporary file, rather than the actual file. When LapLink copies the actual file, some changes may not have been updated from the temporary file. This feature needs to be disabled before LapLink will correctly copy files based on the file's date and time stamp.

SOLUTION

  1. Start AutoCad.

  2. Type Preferences in the AutoCad command line.

  3. Click the Performance tab.

  4. Change the Incremental Save percentage from 50% to 0%.

  5. Save the changes, and exit AutoCad.

  6. Transfer your files using LapLink in your normal manner.
