Transferring Read-only Files with PCsync - Search Again

SUMMARY

I've connected to a computer and need to download read-only files to my local computer. The first time the file is copied everything works fine. When I try to download the same file again, I get an error message that I don't have write access to my local computer. I've checked my local computer, and I can write and update files properly. What can I do?

SOLUTION

PCsync does not allow you to overwrite read-only files on either the local or the remote computer. For example, if you are transferring files from your home computer to your work computer, the transfer will fail if you try and overwrite a read-only file. Additionally, you cannot delete or rename read-only files on a remote machine.
