Configuring D-Link DI-701 Residental Gateway for PCsync Connections - Search Again

 

SUMMARY

I have a D-Link DI-701 gateway. How can I configure it to allow PCsync to connect over the Internet?

 

CAUSE

See Technical Document 303, Using PCsync in a Secure Environment for more information.

 

SOLUTION

  1. From the Windows Start menu, go to Programs and click Link DI-701 to start the setup program.

  2. Note: The DI-701 can also be configured using a terminal emulation program, such as Windows HyperTerminal, or through Telnet. Check the installation guide for details.
  3. Highlight the IP address for the DI-701 and click Configure. The default is 192.168.0.1
  4. .
  5. Click the Virtual Server tab.

  6. Add the IP address of your PCsync computer for ports 8080, 8443, and 8444.

  7. Click Add after each entry.

  8. Click Save to reboot the gateway.
